Hello darling friends! I hope everyone is holding up well, especially if you are enduring this California heatwave. Not much to report in my life, just getting into the virtual college student routine. I recently have felt an unidentifiable yearning that is hard to describe, perhaps just a side effect of staring at screens 24/7 and extremely limited social interaction. The News From Hanken Drive!
Grandpa got to come on a weekend getaway for labor day! He rarely leaves Hanken Drive these days so this was a fun event for him.
We picked him up Saturday morning, here he is with his paper, coffee, and overnight bag.
He spent most of his time sitting in front of the cabin enjoying the mountain air, and taking some walks in the meadow.
He got to come down to the beach once the crowds cleared!
Waffles for Sunday breakfast as always! We always put them in the iron for extra time and he calls them crispy critters!!
Will on the Job!!
If you are a loyal reader of the letter, you know Will. He is of course one of my closest friends and a fellow vegan. What you might not know about him is that he works at Amy's Drive-Thru! We visited him on the job this week and got some delicious vegan food. He only has a few shifts left before he leaves for school, so if you stop by Amy's say hi!
