Hello and welcome back to the letter! I hope this finds you all happy and well. As we transition into Summer weather I have been just naturally becoming so happy and excited to spend time outdoors. Now onto this weeks news:

Rio's First Paddle!
I had never realized that people take their dogs kayaking, but at work, I have helped many owners load their dogs into their kayaks. Even though Rio hates water, I wanted to just try to take her out. So I suited her up in a tiny dog life jacket and hoped for the best!
She was a little nervous at first while we were on the docks, but as soon as I had her secure in the boat, she was loving it. We paddled down by the Sausalito houseboats and along the way she saw lots of seals and other paddlers who gave her many compliments. I can't wait to take her out on the water again
Flowers Galore!
Natalia was home for this weekend and she had a bright idea of an adventure for us to go on. We went to the wholesale flower mart in San Francisco which Natalia had been to before but it was my first time. Imagine a warehouse that just goes on and on and on full of booths of flower vendors. We collected several varieties of flowers so we could arrange Mother's Day bouquets! Our color scheme was pink and we had so much fun picking out the flowers we wanted but it was also overwhelming with all of the options. I definitely recommend this for a fun activity on a city day!
The News From Hanken Drive (what's up with grandpa)
This week we had a big day for grandpa! He went out for dinner for the first time in over a year. He has been fully vaccinated for a couple of months and has been ansty to get out of the house! So we made an outing to a local favorite spot: Taco Janes. He ordered a Chili Relleno and an iced tea!

Seal Watch
With a job spending my days on the docks I see a lot of cool things, but the baby seals are by far my favorite! This little guy is who we call Snowflake and he climbed onto one of our paddleboards!
