i am SO Los Angeles

Hello everyone!! I have had more and more of an urge to write more regularly on here, so here I am again. I can only characterize this week by being very ~Los Angeles~ of me so I just wanted to share some little moments of the week with you.

This week I received a PR package from one of my all-time favorite brands: Bob's Redmill. I first became a consumer of their products years ago when I went gluten-free, but they really won my heart in 2018 when I listened to the NPR How I Built This show one Bob. I love the brand so much that I visited the HQ last year and made a Tik Tok about it. The package came with lots of yummy whole grains and fun swag and I also attended an online cooking class with the company's recipe developer. I loved all of it and it of course was a big influencer moment.

Who's That Girl

Another very LA thing is casually stumbling upon a filming location, yesterday we found the exterior apartment from New Girl!

Alfred's & Erewhon

Overpriced groceries and gourmet coffee, how much more LA can you get? In all seriousness, I love Erewhon is very much a guilty pleasure of mine. But more pleasure than guilt. Pictured you can see the Bulldog that I met in the aisles today, who was clearly very happy to be there. I love the mindset people have in LA of just bringing their dogs into any place they want. Alfred's Coffee was another place to visit that was very much LA culture.

The Streets of Silverlake

Just strolling, shopping, etc. in this fancy little neighborhood...

Arts District Explorations

I recently have challenged myself to explore more of DTLA because it is quite close to where I live but it isn't necessarily the hot spot where USC students are trying to hang out. We ventured to the Arts District this weekend to go to Cafe Gratitude but were pleasantly surprised by running into the Lorna Simpson exhibit and a Salt and Straw location!

ANYWAYS this is just me sharing the more glam parts of my life here because at the beginning of living here LA mostly left a sour taste in my mouth. Most days are spent on campus at one of the several student publications I work for or cramming for my GE science class quizzes. A radio story I worked on aired last week that I was very proud of, you can listen here.

I miss you all so much and am absolutely overflowing with love!!

xoxoxo

Claire
